Nomad Forums (nomadforums.com) is operated by Global Networx LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, who we share it with, and your rights. Questions or requests: hello@nomadforums.com.
What we collect

We do not ask for, and you should not post, passport numbers, bank details or other identity documents.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with these providers, who process it on our behalf:
- Communiteq hosts the forum and its database, and sends forum emails.
- Google provides Sign in with Google and Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics only to measure how the site is used, not for advertising.
- Akismet (Automattic Inc.) checks new posts and sign-ups for spam. The post text, your IP address and browser details are sent to Akismet for this. We do not send your email address.
- Google (Gemini API) screens early posts from new members for spam, and turns public posts into search vectors so we can show related topics. Only post text is sent.
Advisers. If we offer an introduction to a visa, tax, banking or relocation adviser, we share your details only when you ask us to, and we name the adviser first. The adviser then handles your data under its own privacy policy. We may receive a fee for the introduction, and we will say so.
Affiliate links. Some links to services such as banks, insurers or company-formation providers are affiliate links. If you click one, the provider may set its own cookies and pay us a commission. We do not give them your forum account details.
We may also disclose data if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our members.
Legal bases (EU and UK visitors)
- Contract: running your account and showing your posts.
- Legitimate interests: security, spam prevention, basic site logs and measuring site use.
- Consent: adviser introductions, and analytics cookies for visitors in Europe. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation: responding to lawful requests and illegal-content reports.
How long we keep it
- Unconfirmed sign-ups: deleted after 14 days.
- Your account and posts: until you delete your account or ask us to. Posts that others have replied to may be kept in anonymised form so conversations still make sense.
- Google Analytics data: no longer than 14 months.
- Server logs and backups: only as long as needed for security and disaster recovery.
International transfers
Google and Automattic are based in the United States, and so is our operator. Where personal data from the EU or UK is transferred to the US, we rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the recipient is certified, or on Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal data, object to or restrict its use, and withdraw consent. You can download your posts and delete your account from your profile settings, or email hello@nomadforums.com. EU and UK residents can also complain to their data protection authority.

Affiliate partners may set their own cookies after you click their links. Change your cookie choice at any time. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics everywhere with Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
Children
The forum is not for anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has created an account, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
We will post any changes here and update the date at the top. For significant changes we will also notify members by email or a site banner.
